Arn Stonebrow is a middle-aged dwarf, his face becoming lined with years of adventure and service to Eldil. He was born into a clan of dwarves of many talents, but which feature a number of highly skilled scultptors, architects and stonemasons. Raised in the midst of dwarven society, Arn became increasingly devoted to his people. His sense of duty was strengthened by a religious calling to the priesthood early in life, where he sought to learn the words of power uttered by the gods, to learn the will of Eldil and help to guide his people to greatness. The priests welcomed him, as he was born under the sign of the Guardian, and they felt that his destiny was a great one. His open demeanor and sense of community quickly made him welcome in the priesthood. After several years, he was wed to Davra, a young priestess of Eldil, in an arranged marriage meant to strengthen ties between two clans of dwarves that would benefit all. While he was only passingly familiar with Davra prior to their marriage, his parents hoped that their shared training and dedication to Eldil would make for a good match. His parents were right, and Arn and Davra came to love each other deeply. Arn continued service to Eldil and his town, adventuring in the nearby area to protect his people. After some time, he was called, though, to greater service – a chance to end the Gods’ War. He was brought together with other mountain folk from a nearby tribe of goliaths to venture into the world. Could this be the destiny foretold by his birth? Saying farewell to Davra and their daughter, Jalla, Arn set out upon the path of duty, hoping again to protect not only his people, but all the people of Paranor.Arn Stonebrow
